Marketing & RevOps Engineer

US, ideally San FranciscoFull-timeReports to Anton Kravchenko, CEO

A founding marketing role. You'll run the website, events and outbound, build the systems that power them in Claude Code, and grow a community of post-sales leaders.

About Sonora

Sonora is the revenue platform for post-sales teams. We deploy thousands of AI agents on a customer's book of business, let users build dashboards in plain English, and automate every customer outreach: one system for the work CS, RevOps and CX teams used to spread across 5+ tools.

Legacy customer success platforms take months to implement and still leave teams guessing. Sonora is built on a customer knowledge graph that ingests support tickets, call transcripts, email, Slack and product usage, and onboards customers in days, not quarters.

  • Came out of stealth in June 2026 with paying customers, backed by a $3.2M seed from Aspenwood (formerly HWVC), the first investor in MuleSoft.
  • First customers signed, on base subscriptions of $25–50k a year.
  • On track for $1M+ in ARR by year-end, then a Series A raise.
  • You'll walk into active pipeline: multiple design partners and late-stage enterprise and upper-mid-market prospects.

About the role

You'll report directly to Anton (Co-Founder & CEO) and own how Sonora shows up in the world: the website, the calendar, the events, the outreach and the community around it.

This is a marketing job for someone who builds. You'll work in Claude Code every day: to ship blog posts and copy on a React site, and to build the internal applications that orchestrate Clay, Instantly and HeyReach, so every campaign is measured and repeatable. The creative side matters as much as the systems. An event people talk about or a page that reads well will beat a sequence that merely sends.

You'll also work closely with product. As we build new agents with customers, you'll turn what works into best practices and share them with the community, so the people using Sonora learn from each other.

What you'll do (and won't)

You will

  • Own sonora.cx: the blog, the landing pages and the marketing copy. The site is React, so you ship copy and pages through Claude Code, not a CMS.
  • Run the marketing calendar: what ships, when, and why, across the site, events, campaigns and the community.
  • Run events: an in-person event every month and webinars in between, from idea and guest list to follow-up.
  • Run outbound and outreach campaigns on a best-in-class GTM stack: Clay for enrichment, Instantly for email and HeyReach for LinkedIn.
  • Build the internal applications that orchestrate that stack, in Claude Code, so a campaign is a system you can rerun and not a pile of manual steps.
  • Measure what works: reply rates, meetings booked, pipeline and cost per opportunity, by campaign, segment and message.
  • Run positioning experiments, like selling into healthcare or fintech, and tell us in numbers which industries pull.
  • Work with product on the best practices we find building new agents with customers, and share them with the community.

You won't

  • Hand work to an agency or a stack of contractors. You'll build it and run it.
  • Wait for a brief. You'll decide what to test next and tell us why.
  • Get a large team. You'll be scrappy, with Claude Code as your leverage.
  • Work from a fixed channel plan. Part of the job is finding the channels that work for us.

The profile we need

Non-negotiables

  • You work in Claude Code. You already build with it every day, and you've shipped internal tools or automations with it, not just prompts.
  • Hands-on B2B GTM experience. You've run outbound and campaigns end to end, ideally with Clay, Instantly, HeyReach or tools like them, and can show the numbers.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You've worked early-stage, where nobody hands you the plan and the answer to “what should I do this week?” is yours to find.
  • Real creative instinct. You write copy people want to read and care how a page, an event or an email feels. Send us something you made.
  • A measurement habit. You set up the test before you run the campaign, and you can tell us what you learned when it didn't work.

What makes you exceptional

  • You've built a community, such as a meetup, a Slack group, a newsletter or an event series, and people showed up because they wanted to.
  • You're comfortable in a React codebase and can edit components, copy and pages without a developer.
  • You've sold or marketed into a regulated industry like healthcare or fintech.
  • You've run webinars and in-person events that people remembered.
  • You've worked with customer success, RevOps or post-sales leaders, and know their language.
  • You geek out on AI agents and how teams are putting them to work.

Why Sonora

  1. The job is half builder, half marketer. You'll build the systems you run on. Few marketing roles let you ship software that runs the campaigns, and fewer expect it.
  2. You'll have real impact. We're a small team, and you'd report to the CEO. Positioning, the website, events and the community are yours, and what you learn shapes how we sell.
  3. You'll build a community around a new category. Post-sales teams are working out how to put AI agents to work. You'll help them do it, using what we learn with customers and sharing it openly.
  4. The equity is meaningful. 0.5% in a funded startup. Our founders have built products used by Fortune 100 companies at Apple, Salesforce and Carta. They know what winning looks like.

Compensation

A flat salary and real ownership. No commission plan, because the job is to build the engine, not to carry a quota.

Base salary $180k
Equity ~0.5%
  • Location: US-based, ideally San Francisco.
