The prompt

Analyze [Contact]’s email and meeting history to determine whether they are an economic buyer.

Step 1: Analyze email data

Review emails and messages involving this contact. Look for signals of financial authority or budget involvement:

  • Keywords: “budget”, “approve”, “approval”, “financial”, “investment”, “cost”, “spend”, “purchase order”, “contract”, “sign off”, “authorize”
  • Tone suggesting decision-making power (e.g., final say, signing authority, reviewing proposals)

Step 2: Analyze meeting data

Examine meetings involving this contact from the last 180 days. Look for:

  • Meeting titles or agendas referencing financial planning, budget allocation, or contract negotiations
  • Attendance at procurement, legal, or executive business reviews
  • Discussions of pricing, terms, or approval timelines

Step 3: Classify

Based on the combined evidence, classify the contact:

  • Economic buyer: Clear signals of budget ownership, approval authority, or financial decision-making (at least one direct signal from email or meetings)
  • -: No signals of economic buyer status, or contact is clearly an end user or technical evaluator

Return exactly one of: Economic buyer, -

Include specific evidence in the reason field — cite the keyword, quote, meeting title, or date that drove the classification. If no supporting data exists, return “-” with reason: “No data available.”
